Getting started with ESTnote
The guide page placed in your private pages when you make a new Space, exactly as the app hands it out now.
ESTnote is a team workspace where you write pages with blocks and view databases as tables, boards, calendars and timelines. You can bring your Notion content with you.

For example: "Read this link and tell me how to make ESTnote create a meeting-notes entry every week."
Your first five minutes
- Click + beside Private documents in the sidebar to create a page.
- Type / on an empty line to choose a block.
- To work with your team you need your team's Space. Your first sign-in opens a personal Space only you use. If you were invited, accept on Home; to start one, choose Space name → Create new Space → Team at the top, or invite colleagues in Space settings → Members.
- For a page your team should see, open ⋯ → Share beside the title and choose Place in teamspace. To show it to a few people only, enter their emails there.
- For existing Notion content, follow Import from Notion below.
- For Google Docs or Drive files, see Google Drive integration below.
Private documents, teamspaces and shared documents
The sidebar groups pages by who can see them. Pages move between sections automatically when their sharing changes.
- Private documents: only you can see them. New pages and imports start here.
- Teamspace: everyone who has joined can see the pages, including new members.
- Shared documents: only the people you choose for each page can see it.
More about teamspaces
A teamspace attaches a member list to a team instead of an individual page. A default teamspace for all members is made when you create a Team Space, or when you first invite a member to a personal Space. Where a Space has no teamspace, Place in teamspace does not appear.
- Open: all Space members can see and join it immediately.
- Restricted: everyone can see it, but joining takes an owner approving a join request, or an owner adding you.
- Private: only its members can see it.
| What you want to do | How |
|---|---|
| Bring colleagues into the Space | Invite by email in Space settings → Members; they accept on Home |
| Share a private page with a team | Share → Place in teamspace, or ⋯ → Move to on the page row |
| Remove a page from the team | Share → Remove from teamspace |
| Share with selected people | Enter an email in Share, then choose view, edit or manage access. Someone outside the Space becomes a guest who sees only the pages shared with them |
Writing pages
- Type / on an empty line to open the block menu.
- Type @ to mention a page or member. Mentioned people receive inbox notifications.
- Drag files into the page body to attach them.
- Paste a Google Drive or Google Docs URL on an empty line to create a Drive file block.
- Select text to add links, colors or comments from the toolbar.
- Click the handle (⋮⋮) to the left of a block for the block menu. Turn into changes the kind of block (a heading, a list, a sub-page and more), and what a kind of block has of its own is there too, such as an image's Caption and Crop or a table's Turn into database. The search field at the top finds any command by name, and the foot shows who last edited the block and when.
- Press Esc to select a block whole. Stretch the selection with Shift+↑ · ↓ to delete, duplicate or turn several blocks at once.
- Multiple people can edit together. Check the save status above the page to see whether changes are saved.

Import from Notion
A Notion Markdown & CSV export brings page hierarchy, body, databases, attachments and links together. Imported pages appear in Private documents. Review them before moving them to a teamspace.
- In Notion, export as Markdown & CSV. Enable All databases, Include subpages and Create folders for subpages.
- Upload the zip directly in Space settings → Import and export → Import content. Do not unzip multipart exports.
- Review each database column’s property type in the preview, then click Run import.
- Check Could not transfer in the result. Use Undo to move the imported content to trash together.
Exporting from Notion
- Entire workspace: workspace name → Settings → Export all workspace content. The download link arrives by email.
- A page and its subpages: ⋯ → Export at the top right of the page. The zip downloads directly.
What imports preserve
- Pages, subpages, databases and entries retain their folder hierarchy.
- Paragraphs, headings, lists, quotes, tables, formulas, code, callouts, toggles and text formatting become corresponding blocks.
- Images and files become page attachments.
- Links to other pages become page mentions.
- Properties keep corresponding types; relations are linked when target entry titles match.
Import limitations
- Formulas and rollups: imported as their calculated text values.
- Person and file properties: imported as names in text properties.
- Times in date properties: only the date imports because time zone information is missing.
- Comments, edit history and permissions: not present in the export.
- Attachments over 10 MiB, embeds and synced blocks: skipped or retained as links and reported in the results.
Other imports and copy-paste
The same Import screen accepts Markdown (.md or .zip), CSV, Confluence HTML export zips and ESTnote round-trip export zips.
For a few pages, copy blocks from Notion and paste them into ESTnote. Attachments, subpages and databases do not come with pasted blocks.
Google Drive integration
Use Drive files in pages and send pages to Drive. ESTnote accesses only files you choose explicitly and files created by ESTnote.
- Link: paste a Drive URL on an empty line or choose a file with /Google Drive. Use Preview to view it inside the block.
- Import: Space settings → Import and export → Import content → Choose from Google Drive. Google Docs become pages; Google Sheets become databases.
- Export: ⋯ → Export, choose Google Drive as the destination. Files are stored in the ESTnote folder in your Drive.
More about Drive files
| What you want to do | How |
|---|---|
| Keep a Drive file as a page attachment | Save as attachment on the linked block; Google documents are saved as PDFs |
| Update an earlier Drive export | Choose Update in the export save mode |
| Check connection status | Gear → Connected services → Google Drive |
- Imports create an ESTnote copy; exports create a Drive copy. The copies do not synchronize automatically.
- Only the first sheet imports from Google Sheets. Google Slides and images can be linked or saved as attachments, not converted into pages.
- Google document conversion is limited to 10 MB; each attachment is limited to 10 MiB.
- Drive copies remain after you stop sharing or delete the ESTnote page.
- File selection, import and export are available on the web. Mobile apps show linked files as cards that open in Drive.
Google Chat integration
In a Chat message's app actions, choose ESTnote 새 페이지로 저장, ESTnote 업무로 만들기 or ESTnote 페이지에 추가 (new page, task, or append), then press Save to ESTnote on the private card. The first time, click Connect ESTnote, sign in and consent with the same Google account, then select a destination and title. You do not need to create a project page or copy a connection code.
- Save as a new page: save under an existing page or in Private documents in your chosen ESTnote Space.
- Append to a page: add the message to an editable page.
- Create a task: select a database and fill in the required properties.
- For repeated team use, an administrator can set defaults through Settings for this space on the Chat card. Personal saves do not need team defaults.
Available when the server configuration and organization verification are complete. Contact your administrator if configuration is required. External accounts cannot use ESTnote app commands or card buttons in company Chat spaces. See Google Chat help for details, or watch the ESTnote × Google Chat videos (Korean narration).
Common questions
Why can’t my team see a new page?
New pages start in Private documents. Use Share in the page menu to add people or choose Place in teamspace. A personal Space has no teamspace until you invite someone or work in a Team Space.
Where is my imported content?
Look in Private documents or choose Imported top-level pages → Open from the import result.
Why can’t others open Drive files on a shared page?
Drive files use Drive permissions. Share the file in Drive, or use Save as attachment to add a copy to the page.
I deleted something by mistake.
Restore it from Trash. To restore only page content, use Version history in the page menu.
How can an AI agent write pages?
In Space settings → Agents, enable Allow agent connections (MCP) and Allow agents to write. Add the displayed connection URL in your agent app’s connector screen. Only Space owners and administrators can enable this. Expand the connection instructions for steps for each app.
A partner cannot sign in.
If sign-in says the account is not allowed to sign up, its email or domain is not in the signup allowlist. The list is kept by ESTnote's operators, not in Space settings, so Space owners and admins cannot add to it themselves. Ask the operators to register it.
I found a problem or have a suggestion.
Press Bug report or Suggestion near the foot of the sidebar. The current screen is attached, and replies arrive under My reports in the same dialog and in your Inbox. Reports and suggestions the development team has completed are open to everyone under Bug history and Suggestion history, without who sent them, their screenshots or attachments. The help site has the same links at its top and foot.
