Help › Getting started

Signing in and your account

You sign in with a Google account. Company accounts get in right away; other accounts get in once an admin has registered them.

Who can sign in

You sign in with a Google account only. There is no separate password.

  • Company Google Workspace accounts sign in right away. The sign-in screen shows the allowed domains.
  • Other Google accounts, such as partners', get an account on their first sign-in only after ESTnote's operators have registered the email address or domain in the sign-up allowlist (가입 허용 목록). Once registered, you simply sign in with Google. There is no code to hand out.
  • People without a Google account create one with their company email first. There is no need for a new Gmail address.

What you grant Google at sign-in

Your name, email and profile picture identify your account and appear on collaboration screens. The Google Drive permission is used only for files ESTnote created and files you opened in ESTnote. Google Tasks is touched only if you turned it on yourself.

Reading Google Chat messages, managing Chat spaces and Calendar access are not requested at sign-in. They are requested separately for each capability the first time you use it under Google tools (Google 도구) in the Google Chat integration. Details are in the privacy policy.

Your first sign-in

  • A personal Space of your own is created, and the Getting started with ESTnote (ESTnote 시작하기) guide page opens. It is a copy: edit it or delete it as you like.
  • If someone has already invited you to a Space, the invitation waits on Home (홈). Accepting takes you to that Space.

Account settings

The gear (톱니바퀴) next to your name at the bottom of the sidebar opens account settings.

  • Delete account (계정 삭제) signs you out at once and deletes the account seven days later. You can sign in again during that time to cancel. A deleted account loses its name and email, and appears as "삭제된 사용자" (deleted user) on pages shared with others.
