Teamspaces

A list of people attached to a team rather than to a page. Everyone who has joined sees the pages inside.

The default teamspace

Creating a Team Space, or inviting someone into a personal Space for the first time, creates one default teamspace that every member belongs to. It is named after the Space, every member except guests is in it automatically, it is always open, and nobody can leave it.

Creating and joining

  • Create: press + next to the Teamspace (팀스페이스) region title in the sidebar. Set a name and icon, the access level, and the default permission for new pages (edit or view).
  • Browse (둘러보기): the compass next to the region title lists the teamspaces you can join. Open teamspaces are joined with Join (참여); join-by-request teamspaces take a join request (참여 요청).
  • Add: a teamspace owner adds Space members from the member list under ⋯ → Settings (설정).

Pages in a teamspace

  • + on the teamspace row makes a new page inside it, open to every participant at once.
  • Someone who joins later sees the pages inside right away; nothing has to be shared again page by page.
  • The page's Share (공유) dialog shows "팀스페이스 · name" to say why it is open. Remove from teamspace (팀스페이스에서 빼기) there returns it to Private documents.
  • Teamspace owners and the Space's owner and admins handle the pages of a teamspace they are in as the pages' makers do: share, move, send to the trash, restore a version. A page whose access was restricted in Share is handled only by the people set there.
  • Members of a teamspace (guests aside) may send to the trash and restore any teamspace page they can edit, whoever made it, sub-pages included. A page taken out of the teamspace, or whose access was restricted on its own in sharing, is sent to the trash only by its owner and its maker. Deleting forever from the trash is for whoever owns the page and every page under it.
  • Anyone who can edit may move the pages they made, even pages made under someone else's page. Who a page is shared with stays for its owner and managers to decide.
  • Press the teamspace name to fold and unfold it. With several teamspaces, drag rows or press Alt+↑/↓ on a name to reorder your own sidebar.

Leaving, archiving, deleting

The teamspace row's ⋯ opens its settings.

  • Leave (나가기): it disappears from your sidebar and you can no longer see its pages. Pages you made stay yours. The last owner cannot leave.
  • Archive (보관): no page is deleted. The teamspace leaves the sidebar and the pages it opened close for members. An admin can bring it back with Use again (다시 사용).
  • Delete (삭제): cannot be undone. Pages remain with their owners and with anyone they were shared with individually, but the permissions the teamspace granted and its member list are gone.

Guests and teamspaces

Guests are not in teamspaces. Pages they need are shared one by one. A page from a teamspace you have not joined, shared with you directly, shows in your Shared documents (공유 문서) region.
