Site publishing and analytics
How to open a page and its subpages as a read-only site, and see how much a page is read.
Publish as site
Publishing opens a page and its subpages as a read-only website. Use it for documents that organization members should read without being shared on the page in ESTnote, such as an internal handbook or a set of policies.
- Open Publish as site (사이트로 발행) in the page menu (⋯).
- Set the URL: 2 to 64 lowercase letters, digits and hyphens.
- Under Pages to publish, mark any subpages you want to leave out as Excluded pages.
- Press Publish, then check it with Open site or Copy URL.
- By default a site opens only to group accounts that can sign in to ESTnote; they need not be members of the Space.
- Once an owner or admin turns on Allow sites for anyone (외부 공개 허용) in the Space settings, Visibility (공개 범위) can be set to Anyone with the link (링크가 있는 누구나) when publishing. Whoever has the link reads it without signing in, so use it only for documents that may be public. Google Drive file blocks follow Drive permissions, so people outside do not see them.
- Turned off, Allow sites for anyone sends sites already published for anyone back to group accounts at once; turned on again, they open again without being published anew.
- A site shows the content as it was when published; editing the original does not change it. When the original changes, you are told to Republish.
- Unpublish takes the site down.
- Publishing is done by people who can share the page (Manage permission or above).
- Embed blocks remain as their source text or a link on the site.
Page analytics
Analytics (분석) in the page menu (⋯) shows how much this page is read. People who can edit the page can see it.
- Total views, views over the recent period, and views on the published site.
- The Daily views table lists views, visitors and site views by date.
- The same person opening it again within 30 minutes counts once. Who opened it is not recorded.
