The page lists are not folders. The three sections tell who can see a page, and a page is always in exactly one of them. Change a page's sharing and the page moves to another section by itself. Nothing is moved between folders: changing the permission is the move.

SectionWho sees itHow a page gets hereWhat it is for
Private documents (개인 문서)Only youNew pages made with + next to the section title, and imports, start hereDrafts, notes, documents not ready to show
Teamspace (팀스페이스)Everyone who is in that teamspaceShare → Place in teamspace (팀스페이스에 두기), or + on the teamspace's rowDocuments a team keeps together. Open at once to whoever joins the team later
Shared documents (공유 문서)Only the people you chose, page by pageAdding an email in Share (공유) puts the page into their Shared documents; in your own sidebar, the pages you shared gather hereDocuments for a few people, documents shared with a partner company

How a page travels

  1. A new page is made in Private documents. Only you see it.
  2. Add two colleagues in Share and it moves to Shared documents. It appears in their Shared documents section too.
  3. The whole team needs it, so you pick Place in teamspace: it moves to the Teamspaces section and opens to everyone in the teamspace. The two colleagues keep their permission.
  4. Pick Remove from teamspace (팀스페이스에서 빼기): with individual shares left it goes back to Shared documents, and once those are withdrawn too, to Private documents.

Sub-pages follow their parent. Put a parent in a teamspace and the pages under it open with it, folded under the parent in the sidebar. A sub-page given its own permissions with Make private (비공개로 변경) in its Share panel stops following changes from above.

A page from a teamspace you are not in, shared with you alone, shows in Shared documents, since that teamspace is not in your sidebar. Guests have no Teamspaces section at all, so every page they receive gathers in Shared documents.

Details are in Private documents, Teamspaces and Shared documents.

On a page row

Hover over a page row and ⋯ appears. It adds a sub-page (a new entry for a database), and holds favourite, copy link, open in new tab, share, move to another location, Move out one level (상위로 꺼내기) and move to trash. + New (새로 만들기) under the private pages list makes a document or database and lets you pick a template to start from. Drag a row onto the middle of another row to put the page inside it, or onto its top or bottom edge to put it beside it; held over a folded row, the row unfolds. A move that changes who can see the page shows who first and waits for you to confirm. After a move, Revert (되돌리기) in the notice takes it back, and Move out one level in ⋯ puts a page one level up, right after the page it was under. Fold or unfold sub-pages with the arrow on the left. Opening a page that has sub-pages from its row unfolds them too, and pressing the row of the page that is open once more folds them; folded with the arrow, they stay folded until the row is pressed again. A long or deeply nested name ends in an ellipsis; hover over it to see the whole name.

Width, folding, and narrow screens

Hover over the sidebar's right edge and a vertical line appears. Drag it to make the sidebar anywhere from 240 to 480 px wide. Double-click it to go back to the usual width; the width you choose is remembered in this browser. With the edge focused, the ← and → keys change it too.

The button at the top of the sidebar folds it. On a phone it starts folded and opens from the button at the top left.

Press a section title (Favorites, Private documents, Teamspace, Shared documents) to fold or unfold that section, and a teamspace's name to fold that teamspace alone. What you fold is remembered for each Space in this browser, so it stays folded after a reload.

The fixed menus at the foot (from Library down to Help and your account) fold with the ⌄ button that appears in the middle of their divider when you point at it. Folded, only a narrowed Library (라이브러리) row and your account row below it are left, with ? beside Library for Help, Bug report and Suggestion, and ☰ for Inbox, Assigned tasks, Google Tasks, Templates and Trash. While there are unread notifications, their number sits on the ☰ button and shows on Inbox inside its menu. The ⌃ button in the same place unfolds them. The folded state is remembered in this browser. On a touch screen the button is always shown.
